Treat yourself to delicious meals with this wooden bento box straight from Japan
The lacquered wooden bento appeared during the Azuchi-Momoyama period that began in 1568 and ended in the year 1600. Its design is inspired by the farmers' seed box. At that time, the Samurai and powerful Warlord Oda Nobunaga distributed wooden bentos to all the people stationed in front of his castle.
This light wood bento box has a 3-compartment tray. This organization is ideal for preparing a complete meal consisting of a starter, a main course and a dessert. Eco-friendly fabric packaging (furoshiki) is decorated with kuma designs that represent bears.
