The hanten is a traditional Japanese jacket that fastens with a single buckle at the front. It can be worn by both men and women, although this model is more suited to men. The jacket is lined with a thin layer of cotton fleece to keep you warm. This Japanese jacket is a perfect blend of blue, white, gold and red. The motifs represent a fish called koi carp. Legend has it that this freshwater fish is able to swim up rivers, so powerful is it that it can even transform itself into a celestial dragon!

It started with one simple idea: Japanese style should be something you actually live with, not a costume you put away after one evening. Most of what we carry is clothing, and the rest is what goes around it: a mask on the wall, a lantern in the hallway, the cup you reach for every morning.
