Traditional Japanese Lantern
Hang up this traditional Japanese Lantern and treat yourself to a unique interior decoration
The Japanese lantern is a tradition that dates back 400 years. During the Edo period, these lights were hung in front of restaurants and sake bars in the city. Imported from China, this red lamp has an advantage: its foldable structure is ideal for storage. Made from mulberry fibers, the paper lamp is held thanks to a metal structure (formerly bamboo) allowing easy hanging. It can also be used as a lampshade.
The pattern on this Japanese light fixture represents kanjis. These Japanese calligraphic characters recall the authenticity of the Land of the Rising Sun. The candle or bulb inside the lantern will emit a soft and subdued light that will delight lovers of the archipelago.
